Savegame Location & Game Pass Transfer

Hey! Coming from Game Pass to the Steam version and after a bunch of research, I've found the locations and how to transfer the saves over.

Game Pass: C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Packages\RawFury.StarTrucker_9s0pnehqffj7t\SystemAppData\wgs\

Under wgs you'll find a folder with a bunch of numbers and another folder with a bunch of numbers and letters within it. Once you reach the final folder, you will find a file that also has a bunch of numbers and letter with no format and a "container.21" file. The formatless file with the numbers and letters is the one you want. Copy it.

Steam: C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\LocalLow\Monster And Monster\Star Trucker

This one is more straightforward. In that folder, you'll find a StarTrucker_SaveData.sav file. Make a backup of it just in case. Paste the file you copied from the Game Pass folder to this folder and rename it to StarTrucker_SaveData.

Launch the game and test.

Do you maybe know how i could go the other way around? Would i just have to make a save in the xbox version then rename the steam save to the numbers and letters?

I managed to do it by taking the steam file and just changing it to the file name with the bunch of numbers in the folder with a bunch of numbers.

Hey there, even after copying the formatless file and renaming it as said, it doesn't load my save from the Game Pass. Any ideas why ?

Yeah this sounds about right. Just gotta make sure the letters and numbers combo is the same

Still working. I had to turn cloud save off though, or it would keep loading the fresh steam save.

Just went into the Library, right click on Star Trucker, Properties, and toggled Cloud save off.
