Are there Pirates to contend with?

It would be cool if you could purchase pilot-able drones to defend your rig.

Would add an element of danger.

No. Not from what I have experienced. Its a great game but pretty limited atm. I am hoping they add a ton of new content in the future. Great for 27$ tho.

yes drones would be great or maybe mannable turrets etc perhaps as an optional DLC expansion as not everyone wants combat.

I don't think it's that kind of game.

Be like adding robbers to Eurotruck simulator or some thing. Not really the intended gameplay direction to add combat, but i'll leave that idea up to devs.
