Thank you for your understanding.
interesting idea I never thought about that. I will test it when i play next time. Thank you for the idea :)
Yeah I didnt knew that. I will restart. I was only 3 hours in not that bad to start over again. I made many mistakes at the start. ^^
The problem is that it's very likely that you will get introduced to a lotta info on those systems a lotta quickly, and probably in a bad enough situation that you run a real risk of dying. I happened to have the instinct to go for the suit to at least buy myself some time while I figured things out, but still, it is a rude awakening, particularly if you're on little money or somewhere with no filters on stock.
This being said, even if you spawn with no filters you should still be able to make do (and stretch out even one filter) with the space suit, so I would recommend going with that and getting a filter or two asap to escape that loop. It's not guaranteed, but it's the best chance you have.
Yeah but the problem is one Filter is around 3000$ which is pretty expensive and when you bump the whole time into everything like me it gets expensive really fast.
Do you get paid better when you make the story missions (Red Eddie etc.) as soon as they are available or should I do few missions from the mission board first till I got a good puffer of money?
I decided pretty early that I was going to continuously grind missions until I found myself in a stable enough position (filters on decent condition and a set of spares and some buffer money) before even bothering with story missions, and I think it's the right strategy since they usually don't pay really well and sometimes will waste your time and gas.
Story missions will mostly amount to region unlocks and a mediocrely payout (if that), so I wouldn't focus on them. They do unlock sectors so *potentially* they will give you access to higher paid missions, but it's not a straight upgrade, either. You want the skill tree unlocks for those.
After the filter incident I've been getting missions, checking the stores at at the destination for filters and batteries, and then grabbing another mission. My progress is glacially slow, but at least I'm holding in there. If I have story missions, I just try to get hauls to those systems so I can at least get the brief on what's the next mission about, and do them whenever I feel I have the time to spare.
As a bonus tip for early game, sell the gas can. It weighs 132 LBS (60 KGS). It fetches some money and frees up extra weight space for cargo.
Alright thank you I think I will do the same and first grind money until I feel like I have some time to breath. Slow progress is not bad I mean its a trucker game with a truck which "drives" slower than my grandma walks so its meant to relax. :)
Yeah I sold the gas can it gave me around 600$ which is not bad at the beginning and they dont have so much gas that it would be worth it to keep them.
