I'll drink to that!
Stationeers Discord is invaluable.
I've yet to get a forum reply about commodities.
Another issue is that any invaluable info can be lost in instant. Discord servers are not archived by webarchive or wayback machine. I used to be in one server that had a Q&A channel where devs sometimes provided great and invaluable insights on how the game works, the decisions made by the team, all that. Then, one day, the server admin hid the channel. All that invaluable info that wasn't ever shared anywhere else is practically lost. Admin said the channel wasn't deleted fully, so if he didn't lie, technically the info is still there, but there's no difference for us who can's access it. Another example, I was on a server that had a #multiplayer channel that had some interesting conversations about multiplayer side of the game. But at some point, it basically became "looking for group" channel, and the admins decided that it should be one, and to keep requests relevant, the channel is cleansed regularly. Which means that all the years of conversations the channel had before were deleted, lost forever.
Discord servers are great tool for small groups of friends, and absolutely worst as a replacement of forums for large communities, especially as an official way of communication.
I get my info and I'm gone, unless there's a conversation I'm interested in.
