Here's where to find everything on the Truck
Played the Demo, here's where everything is you need:

Power:

There are Power Cells which are basically your micro-manage aspects of the game. Some wear faster than others. All batteries work the same until empty, so, try to squeeze as much juice out of them as possible. You cannot recharge batteries in the Demo, they are single use. Docking does not recharge batteries, it limits some of their use, expect oxygen, that is ALWAYS depleting regardless. Even if you're not in the truck, if you are outside in EV, oxygen still depletes.

1. Core_A and Core_B:
These are the mains and used for lights. The Batteries are located to the left of the drivers seat (facing forward), raise the panel to expose these. Below the dashboard are buttons that turn lights on/off. It is these lights that affect these batteries.

Now, you are asking, then, what is the point of some of these, especially the exterior lights. Well, this seems to be core to the micro-managing aspects of the game. Interior lights are self explaining. The exterior lights are meant to help provide lighting while doing EV excursions.

Note: Headlights are especially useful when retrieving salvage. And yes, in the demo, you can retrieve salvage. It is through salvage you obtain additional resources (fuel, filters and batteries).

Game Tip: For the Demo, turn off ALL the lights unless needed, especially the exterior lights. This conserves CORE battery. So much so, you could remove one of the CORE batteries and use it elsewhere.

2. MAG_A and MAG_B:
These are the batteries based on how strong of a tether your load needs. For the Demo, I don't think these are being drained, but, I expect this to change in the real game. The are to the right of the Driver's seat (facing forward), raise the panel to expose these.

Game Tip: There are two batteries, you can remove one and complete the DEMO with no issues and use it elsewhere (i.e. Oxygen Battery).

3. EV Suit:
This battery recharges your suit when stored. Depending on your EV excursions this may need to be replaced. It is located in the upper Mezzanine to the right of the Airlock.

4. Gravity:
This battery powers gravity. Since every object takes damage, losing gravity is a BIG issue, as things bounce around they take damage. This is located under the stairs behind the drivers seat, click on the stairs to raise them to access.

Game Tip: While in space dock, gravity is powered by the docking clamps, so you can swap out your Gravity battery when Docked and nothing will go floating around. Do this un-docked and well, it's object soup floating in the cab.

Game Tip: If things go floating around, if any object wanders into the path of the stairs, the stairs will not go back down. If you lose gravity and stuff wanders around, be sure ALL objects are removed/cleared from the stairs closing path if the stairs won't go back down.

5. Oxygen:
This battery powers oxygen and is the most rapidly depleting energy source in the Demo. This is located in the upper mezzanine, to the left of the airlock.

Game Tip:: if you run out, put on your suit for an extra time bonus to replace the battery.

Game Tip: The rate of battery depletion is tied to the status of the Filters. Over time, filters wear and become less efficient, drawing more battery to produce less oxygen.

Filters

These are located in the panels located on either size of the mezzanine level, against the exterior walls near the ceiling, there are 4 in total, 2 on each side. To access them, slide open the panel to expose the filters.

Game Tip:: Keep an eye on your filter efficiency and replace when they drop below 30%.

6. Control Boards

These "control boards" are co-located next to the batteries. They "randomly" die. In the lower level storage, on the left side (facing down the stairs) is your circuit panel. This is where you can turn off circuits.

If you try to replace a control board without killing power, there's a risk the control board will fritz, wasting a control board. Be sure to kill the power to that circuit before replacing the control board.

Game Tip: While docked, the docking station provides power and such to your rig, so, if you need to swap out a control board for Gravity, do it while docked and you won't lose gravity.

7. Fuel

Did you notice some gas cans in your storage area, well, they are more useful than just taking up space. You can use these to refuel your truck to save a bit of cash from the gas station. The fuel nozzle is located under your truck, pretty much right under the driver seat but on the outside of the truck. To refuel, you'll need to grab the can and do an EV trip outside.

There's a gas cap that needs to be removed in order to use the fuel can. It works in the same way as applying patches to holes, just grab the can, move it to the filler and click and hold to fill up. Remember to remove the fuel cap first, oh, and be careful, its very easy to bump into either the cap or fuel can and send them flying away.

Use of fuel depends on your driving style, as the faster you go you really use it up fast. Above the drivers seat are a series of switches allowing you to disable certain thrusters. It's "a" way to conserve fuel. Also, under the dash is a button that resembles hazard lights, it turns off driver assist, basically enabling Newtonian physics. It conserves fuel but increases difficulty.

Game Tip: You cannot refuel manually when docked at the station nor when in the refueling station or cargo drop/pickup locations. You have to be in "free space" to manually refuel you rig.

8. Salvage Ping
:

Yes, you can recover salvage floating in space. This salvage includes Fuel Cans, Batteries and Control Boards plus other stuff not yet used in the game. This is the lever located above the drivers seat and to the left. If you throw that lever, a ping emanates from your truck. If there is salvage nearby, it will show up as a new "waypoint". It seems salvage within 1 mile of your location is identified.

Game Tip Salvage is often located off the beaten path, so, the likelihood of debris in the area increases, upping the risk of damaging your rig and cargo. It's best to go salvage hunting between cargo hauls.

Game Tip: Get used to throwing the ping lever often as you never know when an opportunity jumps at you.

Game Tip:: You can only carry one item at a time during EV excursions. So, if you're a hoarder of found loot, like I am, you will learn to be an expert EV navigator in no time.

9. EV suit
Located in the upper mezzanine level, on the right side, this is your suit to explore outside your rig. It charges while stored, if there is enough battery to charge it.

10. Junk in the Trunk
As Batteries and fuel cans are depleted and control boards fritz out, there is no method to refill them or repair them in the Demo, so, plan on jettison them through the airlock.

11. Highways and Byways

Near space stations, you will see "corridors" of travel. These corridors are clear of any debris and are safer to travel, however, they are not always the most efficient route. If you are a risk taker, you are free to go "off road" to cut down the distances of your travel to save fuel but the rate of space debris and potential damage goes up.

Salvage is ALWAYS located off these Highways, thus, is that salvage worth the risk, that's the driver's call :)

Game Tip Speed limits are only enforced when you are on a highway. Tired of getting dinged cash for speeding and unsafe driving when delivering a load, then, avoid the highways and put the pedal to the metal, just look out for that floating space junk.

12. Docking
Docking provides power to your systems, except for Oxygen (always depleting). To dock, you have to back into the stall and use your reverse camera to align the mag locks. Just like you do for cargo.

13. Main Interaction Menu
If you hit TAB, a new overlay will appear with several features not yet implemented. One feature is the Space Map and your "Skill Tree" which are working in the Demo. Everything else is "Coming Soon".

Everything else is pretty much included in the game, the controls and such, but this should help with your journey through the Demo Level 3 end game.

What about the impact shield? It's orange on the circuit board but I can't find anything to replace.

Unused in the Demo, my guess is that it reduces the damage of the cargo if you hit something or it "pushes" smaller objects away so you don't hit it. Most likely it's a huge power draw against CORE_A and CORE_B battery when implemented in the full game.

Call me crazy but why are critical and probably volatile power cells and other sensitive circuitry stored in plastic floatable cases and not in some secure location. When you lose gravity due to a power issue (and you will xD) ...all the junk and cases float everywhere so its a bit annoying hunting for the right part to fix the problem. Seems a bit janky system.

Core power also is required to control the truck. If you lose core power mid-flight or worse, while you're manoeuvring, your controls will "stuck" and your truck won't be able to stop until you get the core power back. And believe me, changing cells in a spinning out of control truck is an experience.

But this is the best part :) You have to plan your tour and prepare befor start, when you start a road trip with fuel on E, then you have to deal with it. this is no lets go out and rush the game game. this is a lets plan and prepare for what we want game :)

No you will not :) befor this happens at least, when you not cruiz trough space. you have the chance to dock with your truck after first delivery. when you are docked, you can check and change every critical system befor start the next trip :)

Did the salvage ping get removed in the final version? The only lever I see above and left of the seat is the horn and it does not reveal any salvage.

I answered my own question. You have to get further in the story to unlock the ping.
