If you have the game installed, make a new file in the Star Trucker Demo game folder called "steam_appid.txt" and put "480" in it (no quotes), then launch the game directly from the exe file. This should get around the API call. No I don't feel bad for telling people how to get around your bizarre shady attempt to pull a demo after just 6 days. Just pulling it is one thing, but removing the Steam ID to make it so even people who have the demo installed can't play it? Just, why???
Manage Game folder from your Steam Library page that holds Star Trucker
Right click and make a new text file named; steam_appid.txt, then open that text file and just have the numbers 480 and save the file, THEN click the .exe file straight from the folder. The shortcut that steam automatically makes when you download any given title won't work anymore.
