Okay, negative Nelly. And those who DO have VR are passionate about it, and tend to play games exactly like this one in VR. They also have more disposable income to blow on things like VR headsets as well as take chances on games such as this one. So what if only two percent of Steam users have VR headsets. That's only one narrow metric. What percentage of games support VR? I'm guessing less than two percent. In that case, wouldn't this game be capitalizing on an underrepresented market by adding VR capability? Yes, it is a niche market. But it is growing. And Elite Dangerous and American Truck Simulator have a sizeable following of VR users. This game seems to be a blend of those two games, and would likely be an insta-purchase for VR fans of those games.
For my part, I fall into that category.
I fully support the idea that this game would be great in VR but more importantly I support the dev's right to decide for themselves. It's all very well saying that if they made the game VR it would get huge support from those 2% of Steam users (and it would) but you could make a VR game that would get that support as well but you aren't, and you probably wouldn't be happy if dozens of people made a thread demanding that you do. Because you've chosen to do something else.
I'm not saying that the developer has to conform to my opinion. All I'm doing is showing my support for the platform. Feedback which the developer may or may not find useful. Same as the guy whom I was providing a counterpoint for was trying to diminish the impact of VR.
Also presumptuous of you to assume that I am not involved in VR game development. Lol. Granted, my role is just a voice actor. But I have appeared in VR games.
Still, absolutely +1 for VR support!
