So who the ♥♥♥♥ is Octonarus, I beat Melgina just now and couldn't resurrect her. I got the Merfolk Lexicon and Melginas Relic.

So next up is going with a different Request than Church and interacting with the Mermaid Statues?

yea. you need to go back to all the mermaid statues and read them with the merfolk language. then go back to the first time youve met melgina where she gives you the quest to fetch her a sandwich but a new dialogue option appears.

Gottcha, I can't seem to find the 3rd one, do you perchance know where it is?

the statues are basically one per floor for awhile, you may need to disable some of the dragon fountains to get to it. I recall at least one or two were on the second floor. Generally you can see them on the map, just check everywhere.

Bear in mind, some of them are past melgina so..... yes, you will have to do her quest, continue past her, learn from those statues, then reset back to melgina, then proceed again and talk to her then do her new quest. There will also be new dialog and a quest option after that from gessi the sauhagin you find breaking a statue.

the third one should be on the 3rd district and is located at the middle left of the map. it will require you to turn a lever and turn off a statue. theres also another statue on the very top middle of the map too.

Thanks for the info on that. I also read something about a rustproof dagger. Is that something that I should get the quest before giving over the Mackerel Sandwich or afterwards?

Figured it out, kinda both. You will need the Knowledge of all the Merfolk Legends and then go before meeting her to get the request
