Wizardry Variants Daphne

Tell me about your team build
Would be fun to see what team build everyone use. Mine before was:

MC - Lana - Ophelia
Alice - Yeka - Milana

I always kinda hated my Lana. Not only her ability but also the dumb cloth choice with princess crown. So I'm currently grinding some level and testing with:

MC - Arboris - Kiriha
Adam - Yeka - Alice

What level?
Damon Apr 11 @ 10:02am
MC (30) - Arboris (30) - Kiriha (24)
Adam (29) - Yeka (30) - Alice (30)

BTW, I think Arboris is bugged atm. His skills not working properly so that likely gets fixed in soon update. Still I love his Astral Break. When his issues do get fixes it will probably be better.

my party mainly is

Kiriha -MC-Gerulf
Lana-Debra-Valdor

lana used to be Flut

been leveling fighter on my MC from lvl 1 (need those xp books for Kiriha)

so currently looks like this:
Kiriha-Lana-Gerulf
MC-Debra-Valdor

kinda dislike Lana too may switch her out with another fighter (change her to fighter if get drop) or likely go mage instead, have katino on both kiriha and debra with their speed havent missed the mage much but been feeling to scratch that class fantasy itch recently.

Been leveling adam, flut and general elf mage for that purpose just in case. Also been dreaming of a two priest setup tho or a mage with healing spells....so u neva know.

That looks cool. Yeah Kiriha is indeed fun Ninja to use, he is not bad and now dual wield at lvl 25. Enemies have hard time to hit him even with equipped gear.

One thing that surprised me a bit about usage of Arboris's skill Astral Break is sword with attack rate 2 then it does hit 2 times and Surety works good too. So if Sword has high damage and Surety higher then the damage could be devastating. He is pretty good trap disarmer too and can be improved further.

Highly recommend to use your gems on only his pull, the other with Gerard is not as worthwhile and pray for your luck. Maybe pity pull instead if you manage to collect 100 pulls. No regrets. Maybe inherit Lana on him if you don't want to use her or better MC, for still a little heals after battle.

Definitely S-tier in my opinion. Don't agree with someone saying he is A-tier lol.

lana Knight, Olive fighter, Mc thief/fighter (i switch back and forth periodically)
debra thief, alice priest, asha mage

lana has mostly light armors boots gauntlets helms to triger her passive ability gets bonus speed while wearing these. wielding a steel sword.
her gear is enchanted with aspd, defense, atk

olive has daggers and evasion enchants on all her equipment, with surety and attack

Mc is focused on attack, defense and action speed, with steel sword

debra has a sacred bow , focused on accuracy, atk, surety.

alice and asha both have 2h staff, focused on divine power and magic power respectively. asha is wearing mage hat and mage clothes for more magic power.
their enchantments are mostly focused on magic, divine, defense, mdef, resistance

i'm building gerulf on the side, he has steel greatword, heavy and light armors, focused on atk, def, aspd.
he also has a spear, so i can put him in back, because his def and evasion both suck, despite the enchantments. .

Best team for Port city is earth team. Earth element have advantage over water element and that give 30% more damage done and 30% less damage received. If you add Earth weapons(another 30% damage) and armour(reduction of 15% per piece) you cane easily steamroll Port city.
Elise and Benjamin(who also have anti fishmen trait) as fighters(there is also Gaston but who even use him), Jean(extra damage buff against water) or Arr-Boris as thief, Galina or Daniel(extra water reduction) as Priest and Yeka as Mage.
With that team you will be invincible.
[Iarumas] [Main Character] [Lanavaille] all lvl 40 as of now
[Alice] [Yekaterina] [Debra]
[Debra] [Rinne] MC (warrior)
[Yeka] [Alice] [Iarumas]

flex spots are Gerulf & Berk, also L50 Barbara for some spear knight shennanigans

i get it that they want the player to swap out party members to create optimal element builds for each area, but that's really hard for new players, when it takes a spit ton of resources to sink in to just your main team of MC plus 5 others.

combined with the drip feed of gacha puls and then you have to dimiss them to get the grade tags to uncap the levels.

I can see my team is suboptimal, with 2 fire characters on it, of course i'm gonna have trouble when the oar master boss can 1 shot level 40 asha with his water bubble attack, but i had to use her, because i didn't have anyone else trained up to take her place and didn't want to have to wait a whole month just to get 3 more gacha pulls to dismiss them to get the 3 tags i need to train up someone else to pass that part.
i just endured and used reversal to revive her every time it happened. .

i guess it's gonna get much more brutal later in the endgame where they tune bosses expecting you to have all matching elements with every slot filled with element gear +20

i'm reading that level 60 is the level cap right now, but
i'm looking at the list of grade tags swapping and there's so many tiers above level 60. going up and up , that if each tier is 10 levels, it looks like they plan to eventually raise the level cap to 130 and i did the math on those

going from no grade to lead grade requires 1 "no grade" tag
lead to bronze, needs lead grade tag, which requires trading in 2 no grades
iron = 2 lead, which means 4 no grade
steel 8
copper 16
silver 32
gold 64
platinum 128
mythril 256
adamantite 512
orichalcum 1024

when and if they unlock all those tiers, that means one will have to do 2047 gacha pulls and then dismiss them all to get one character up to orichalcum grade., which will probably take until the year 2047 to do that. and that's just for 1 character. (unless you are a whale and pay. )

i know i'm certainly never going to do that. .

right now, i guess steel grade is the max, which is still 15 tags per character, which is still very limiting factor.

i recognize, this number will be smaller, because dismissing named characters gives 2 tags and legendary characters give 3 tags, but who's gonna dismiss a legendary for grade tags, when they can fuse it for discipline or inherit the skill instead?

my point is that creating specialized off teams, of all one element, and having a different team for every zone based on the element of the enemies there is likely out of reach for the majority of f2p or low spend players.

only a whale is gonna have a full roster of 5 maxed out characters of every element (6 elements, 30 characters total) to cover every possible scenario.

it looks like Mc can change his element on the mind board, so he's versatile, but for the most part, i'm stuck with the characters i sunk my costs into

I have not reached Port City yet because I slowly take my time to grind, I have no problem with that playstyle. But can still make some sense of the mentioned tips. No need for overthinked min-maxing with exact characters. The game at least gives you access to Den of Earth so it's there you can patiently farm few Earth gear and it will give you some boost at least.
Icedfate Apr 12 @ 7:35am
i didn't need minmaxed for the port town. i'm speculating about the future, with power creep and stuff
Damon Apr 12 @ 7:47am
I'm going to assume they will always give one way to counter one problem, otherwise it would be dumb. The longer you play the game the more you can pull off summons and possibly inheritance so eventually at least your spellcaster have few different elements including priest.
[Evil MC] [Rinne] [Savia]
[Iarumas] [Yekaterina (Priest)] [Debra]

of course I don't use them 24/7 but it's what I use most (Especially when Farming), the front line's entire Shtick is just not getting hit and does do a pretty good job at that.

On bosses where Evasion don't do much I replace Rinne and Savia with Galina (Fighter) and either Gerulf or Clarissa. on the back row if I don't need a thief I just bring Alice instead of Debra. the only character that is on my team almost all the time is Yeka.

I won't list the gears because that really depends on what i'm doing, but it's at the Lv 40 char and +10 Steel gear range currently

it's really just a team focused on Neutral / Evil character, I still experiment a lot with it cause I don't play this kind of game a lot usually but the usual team I use is really fun for me, though a complaint I have is that Savia's Black Beast Feint is one of those "really underwhelming 9 times out of 10 but hella fun when it works" kind of ability but she's an Evil alignment knight that's really good at Evasion and works really well with Rinne so I'll gladly have her on my team rn.
