But to answer your question, yes you can, so far its very single player like but only if you enjoy the type of game i described.
Thanks!
Though I havent encountered the difficulty part. Im sure Ill mislevel my toons as I play on though.
What you need to know
>get your ID and issue password and write it down or you can lose all your progress
>do not spend character dupes for skill inheritance or discipline till you know whats going on
You can pretty easily beat first Abyss with whatever you want and 2nd with Earth elemental team. 3rd Abyss is more difficult but it will take you some time to even get there.
Paying helps, but it doesn't allow you to mindlessly brute force without learning how to play the game.
At the start you get given a big chunk of gems and a single legendary selector to boot, so if you reroll your account a few times chances are you will be able to start off with a full legendary squad if thats what you want to do, made up of standard and limited banners.
The only 'downside' is that adding any more characters to your roster will be rare as the amount of ingame currency you earn is tiny, truly pitiful.
Bones are kind of everywhere. Monthly dungeon diving, login rewards, event rewards, etc.
Since every pull gives a character, chances are you'll have enough to build several good rosters out of just from doing your initial/reroll pulls.
Filling out your squad is not going to be a problem unless you're after limited characters. You won't accumulate the funny gacha currency fast enough to keep up with the biweekly limited banners. As a free player you do have to evaluate your options and choose what to pass on but that's standard fare for the genre.
But don't feel pressured to fill your party with legendary or limited characters. They've done a good job making most of them only situationally good so far. All of this game can be done with the right strategies and gear obtained through gameplay (whale options exist but let's just say it's hostile even to whales). You can even slip in unnamed generics if there's no one else to fill the role for a particular strat. I actually beat the third loop event dragon with that lol.
For example the "Elf-Mage" female caster is the current record holder for highest max IQ character in the game. They are also considered to be one of the top 5 best mages. The only mages that clearly beat them are all legendaries, and one Thief who ironically can class change to mage and is much stronger as a mage than thief.
How do you reroll? Anything not to do that could mess up your ability to reroll?
I actually paid in 5 dollars because I enjoyed the game so much. Didnt mind giving them some money as I feel the game respects my time and is fair.
