Wizardry Variants Daphne

How is the endgame ?
For those that have already played this game a lot how is the endgame ? Is it like other gacha you hit a wall at some point and you are stuck unless you use the cash shop and pay to win ?

I've been playing the game since early November. I haven't played the new chapter yet, but I was able to complete all the launch content without spending money. Granted, the game is difficult and you'll have to get creative with party compositions and strategies. You'll also have to be resourceful and use MP/SP/items sparingly. There are sections of the game where you'll be asked to go a long stretch followed by a boss without any chance to regain resources along the way, pulling through by the skin of your teeth. It's moments like this that make me love the game. I crave this level of challenge in my RPGs.

The permadeath is more of a scare tactic. It should never happen. You can only ash a character by attempting to revive them at the temple with less than 50 fortitude, which recovers over time even while dead, and you only permakill a character by trying to revive the ashes with less than 50 fortitude. And if for some reason you absolutely can not wait the 6 hours to revive this character, you can pay gems to guarantee success.
Its p2w
play to win
those grinding wont be any easier with money
How do you know when your character is ready to level up ?

red dot in inn icon. or just see your character exp already hit the current level cap or not
I've been playing since this dropped on android. 100% F2P.

Accumulating tons of Org gems has been pretty easy. They're useful for getting legendary characters as long as you save up and don't go after every single one.

So far, no content has been locked behind a paywall, but the endgame has yet to be created. They could decide to lock the very final dungeon behind a paywall, but honestly, if I stick with WVD for that long, I'd be willing to pay a bit to complete it.

Players spending a lot of money - right now the only advantages they're getting over F2P are duplicate legendary characters (could be useful for inheriting their legendary skills with other characters and for discipline) and "gacha equipment" which is of dubious value because it cannot be fully upgraded to +20. Maybe whales don't need to grind for equipment as much, but as for me, the grind goes with the dungeon crawler territory.
Player since day 1. I have being getting the Weekly sale pack and some cheap stuffs here and there. This much and F2P is almost the same. You can grind gems doing daily, weekly and monthly missions. You can grind bones as well. But what count most is right equips i guess. Sure having every character that comes is good but you have only 5 slots to have active companions anyways so you do not need to "collect them all".

There are bones occasionally in chests on the lower floors.

There are adventurer bones that respawn every 30 days since the last time you picked them up. Some consumables or quest rewards (including gem rewards) are also on a 30 day timer.

Ancient Mausoleum's Crucible floor resets and rotates its 5 named adventurer bone inventory every 2 weeks.

These are just the ones found so far. Abyss 3 hasn't been out long enough to thoroughly investigate.
Thank you!

The rewards for defeating greater warped ones like the royal herald amulet also reset every month or so.

Endgame, I just finished the true ending tutorial dungeon before the steam release...
Nah. You don't need to spend money. But I hope you like game enough to grind some stuff(mostly items for strengthening, ore and gold for enhancing). There is no stamina system so you can grind all you want.
First abyss you can beat with anyone with little preparation, second is harder but if you employ earth based team and grab some earth weapons/armours from Earth den then you should have no big problems, 3rd abyss is much harder and grinding exp take much more time.
You can get some character dupes from crucible(all regular characters), crucible refresh with random regulars every 2 weeks.
