How do you beat the exam boss if you beat the final boss too early and now cant farm decent undead weapons?
Kind of dumb. Now Im essentially softlocked since the replaced "bosses" scale to you meaning Im stuck there too

Priest can use marein to kill the summon.
Buy ton of magic scroll from shop and give it to your frontliner
Defend all time when you run out of scroll it will create opening when your enemy hit you with physical attack. Opening boost physical damage the next attack hit.

They gave you Earth cave for a reason. Farm some iron, i'm not sure about math but if you get +10 weapons it doesn't matter that they are not anti undead. And +10 to armor even if it is pittance is great too.
Use magic scrolls they do consistent good damage, and only limited by your inventory space. Amaizing for when you run out of MP or SP.
Obviously bring some healing items, priest either run out of MP or might be in situation where you need to split your attention. So for survival it is good to bring healing items.
Have one nuker(most likely mage) on stand by, use his SP sparangly, his point is to nuke the spawned line.

I did it :D
Basically I did as yall said and made my frontliners do defense only and kept buffing evasion and use the thief skill "blind"
then when the "opening" debuff applied I made my thief do precision shot (with a +10 anti undead bow) each time.
I only ever used my mage to cast AOE spell and only when adds were around. I used my thief to quick-scope enemies in back lines and focused any big ones at the front so all back-line units went forward. This way the AOE would hit as many as possible.
I only used the priest AOE once and it was a bit mid. Outside of that i made my mage item-heal my dudes constantly.

Precision shot on Opening with anti undead bow did like 400 roughly
grats. And yes buff is very important. Always keep Def and eva buff ready as well as atk down and hit down debuff will help you a lot surviving endgame.

Congrats, glad to help! :)
I did two Abyss1 loops before doing Lead exam. Farmed crap undead bane weps (one and two star lol) but you can easily get them to +5. Use blocking for opening every other round it can proc. Otherwise, hopefully you have Yeka or decent PRI to do the rest of the heavy lifting. THI with Hide-> Sneak attack with undead bane and opening have all those multiplier bangin. Plus Morlis / Armor break from front row = winner
