Differant languages would be great but at this point unlikely. The English track is hilariously awful, and a few hours in - seems to have differant people voicing same characters, as if they didnt fix placeholders or weren't able to record more dialogue with the actors.

This. The english voiceover is uneven. Is there a way to change the dialouge to German ingame but subs in English?

There is a fanmade spanish text translation patch that can be find here:
http://www.guiaspat.com/index.html

You need to register in their board to get the patch.

You can select subtitles and voice over separately using a command-line argument. Of course this only works if the respective language files are installed. I only own the german retail version. With this version you can activate english instead of german subtitles together with the german voice over.

I think it’s also possible to get English subtitles with the german voice over with the Steam version. First you should download the german version of the game:
  • rightclick at the Memento Mori 2 entry in your library and select “Properties”
  • click at “Language” and select the german language
  • wait until the german version is downloaded

Then you have either to create a shortcut or a batch file to let the game start with the command-line argument. In both cases you have to open the subfolder “\steamapps\common\Memento Mori 2” of you Steam installation folder with the Windows file explorer.

Shortcut
  • rightclick at the file “MEMENTO2.exe” and choose “create shortcut”
  • rightclick at the created shortcut and choose “Properties”
  • in the field “Target” add a space and
    -lang:en,ge
at the end of the line and confirm the change with a click at “OK”
  • start the game with a doubleclick at the created shortcut

Batch file
  • create a textfile in the folder with the “MEMENTO2.exe”
  • open the textfile, copy
    memento2.exe -lang:en,ge
into it and save the change
  • rename the textfile to “Memento2_Start.bat”
  • start the game with a doubleclick at the file “Memento2_Start.bat”

The Batch file only works if Windows is set to display file extensions. Otherwise you get a file that is really named “Memento2_Start.bat.txt” but the txt isn’t displayed and if you doubleclick at it, it just gets opened as a text file. How to let Windows show file extensions: Link[support.microsoft.com]
