Stuck with black screen at cold room

am at end of chaper 4, have opened cold room door ,but then i have only black screen, still have inventory that drops down, but cant progress any further! also although you can save games, you cant load any, does anyone have solutions please?

There's a bug that at certain systems at certain locations you get a black screen if you try to enter the main menu. There's no real solution. In the unlucky case that you're playing at such a system the best way is to try to open the main menu at each new location to check if it works and if so then create a savegame. If it doesn't work, then leave the game (e.g. using the task manager or Alt+F4), start it again and continue from the last manually created savegame.

What I don't understand is that you say you can save games but can't load them.

Are you talking of the automatically created savegame? Because in case of a location that gets you a black screen if you open the main menu, you also get a black screen if you load a savegame from there. In that case only use manually created savegame you created the way I explained above.

Or are you talking about saving in general?
But then you would have never reached chapter 4 ?!?

It's a very annoying bug I know...
If you need a savegame so that you don't have to replay the whole game I can provide one...
