Have you already found the 6 fingerprints at the window or need hints where to find them?
Or do you have problems afterwards with the identifying fingerprints minigame?
This one is quite easy if you know what to do.
On the right side you have partial fingerprints of the culprit and the guards. You only need the topmost fingerprint on the right side. Then you search the 6 fingerprints on the left side for one that have 3 minutiaes (branches) in common with the topmost fingerprint on the right side and mark these minutiaes. Then the fingerprint of the left side is used to make the one on the right side more complete.
With the more complete fingerprint on the right side you search for another fingerprint on the left side that have 3 minutiaes (branches) in common. This is possible now that the one on the right side is more complete. Then this fingerprint is also used to make the one on the right side gets more complete.
With the even more complete fingerprint on the right side you search again for another fingerprint on the left side that have 3 minutiaes (branches) in common. This is possible again now that the one on the right side is more complete. Then this fingerprint is used to get a complete fingerprint now.
Thing is - I only own the german disc version, which is a different game version compared to the steam version and I'm not sure if the savegames work. At the same time only few people are visiting the forum here...
Also I wonder why you don't describe the problem. If it's a technical problem you will probably run into another one because there are minigames that use a similar technique. And if it's a problem understanding what or how to do it, it's also a good idea to find out how to solve the puzzle, because there more complex puzzles that are a bit like this one.
