However, with this download comes another mod that increases enemy spawns, and some other tweaks I believe, which likely weighs up such a slight decrease in difficulty. That site also have other mods to pursue that works to increase the difficulty.
Some other downloads that I believe go well with the mod I originally posted:
Recolor Mod Mars: http://www.strategycore.co.uk/files/recolour-mod-mars-v1.2-ufo-al/
This mod changes the blue coloration of weapons and armor to orange, which fits the environment better. The initially linked mod have extra files to make its own weapons match this recolor mod.
Advanced Missions Mod: http://www.strategycore.co.uk/files/advanced-missions-mod-v0.99-ufo-al/
This mod tweaks mission types to spice things up a little, supposedly anyhow as I haven't used it myself.
Martian Assault Mod: This mod is included with Total Rebalance Mod, and it's description goes as such:
"This mod increases the number of enemies encountered in tactical missions and throws in some lower level units as well for cannon fodder. It is possible to customize this mod to suit better your taste by editing the separate configuration file."
While not certain, it might be so that Advanced Missions Mod and Martian Assault Mod are incompatible with eachother for the record.
