Tips against Psi enemies?
The only thing that makes me not play this game is on the mid-game or late-game when you start facing Psi reticulans, and they take control of your units through walls, without you even knowing where they are, and is impossible unless you have good bots, which i couldn't manage to get good quality bots at that time of the campaign.

So... how do you deal with these Psi enemies, specially when at Reticulans bases.

One Way is a Robot Squad but you need a Human Leader in the Squad he defend Start Point Robots go to the Battle Front.
A Other way is when you have the Technologie use Medium Armor (Battlearmor or the better Version from the Armor) an Psi Absorb or Neutralizer (I do not know how the name in the English version is exactly).

Good Luck in Hunting Aliens.
Use rocket robots. Rockets can blast them prone which would prevent them from shooting you or healing each other. You need Level 3 Metal for the launcher and Level 3 Fuel for the rockets.

Good turret and high level bots helps, but is not necessary.

Just make sure the leader can repair the robots, and is armed with a weak knife in case (s)he is mind controlled.
use runner with two pistols. run from theyr back, kill fast.
Many of the above tactics work. Someone trained in at least minor athletics and major ambidextrous can do serious damage to the slow aliens with duel pistols (even into the late game with proper equipment). But can also be controlled eventually. You can just wait out the timer on the debuff however.

Robots are immune to the psy attacks and psy control. But are vunerable to rocket troops and lasers.

A well placed sniper can head shot them from outside their range but sadly the enemies don't have to worry about shot angles and can target and aim through walls. Because they can sense your thoughts.

Another stratagy I use is a melee specilist. When trained enough they can run into a fight and take out many foes in a single swing with just the basic katana. Upgrading to the martian's special sword and they can take out even the highest ranked Beastmen in about 2 swings (if they hit with a 59% chance to hit), just don't fight a roller. So imagine how badly egg heads do against such a monster.

Usually you just have to beat about 2 fights with the expedition when they first set up for them to just calm down and just take the empty slot left and talk to you. Once that is done just attack the normal rebels to allow yourself to side with the expedition and you don't need to worry about it anymore. The rebels barely have the parts to make any mind control devices but you will still have to worry about the psy guns.

Just be careful fielding any psy troops you get. They tend to cause all beastmen to rush you the second they catch a scent of them.... which isn't fun.
I kind of don't remember how the thing was called, but there's a psi shield thingy, which you'd get fairly early. also I'd recommend you to go against Reticulans and not the other guys, as they're far less powerful.

If you mean the Psionic Absorber[sheep-y.github.io], it offer decent protects against direct psionic attacks but I think not against mind control, which is the most trouble.
give one guy a shotgun. run directly at the reticulans to avoid the rockets. and when they get mind controlled they will march your guy over into the middle of their group. wait out the mind control and when they wake up use the shotguns widespread blast to destroy any ret nearby. rinse and repeat. never tried it with any other weapon combo.
where this elefanf
I use robots and a couple of engineers, making sure the engineers have no weapons equipped. Even if they become mind controlled that can't do any damage.
Once you have a decent robo squad with battle turrets you can just roll through their settlements. Projectile hits tend to knock them down so switch target after you knock them down with a little luck you can keep x3 of them down. Never take laser weapons against them. Ideally you should ally with them early on after beating back a few attacks. Allying with them get you 2 more people. Plus they can do missions high environments. Early on do resource trades for resources you need for things you don't need right now. Normally this is a bad idea as it will stop your forward progress in some areas, but you can reset these trades by attacking.

Once the Expedition shows up ally with them as they are more dangerous, they give you 3 people, and let's face it the Rets killed most of the human race. Now put together a tough robo squad with a single Grey and wipe the Rets off the map. It also will double as a harsh environment squad. Just keep the Grey out of combat other than killing downed aliens for XP.

I've noticed Reticulans seem to be immune to psy-control when they have god-like mental powers (plus they psy-detect any aliens nearby). Give that guy an alien rocket launcher, a human projectile pistol & ammo, plus load him up w/ psy rockets.

So I take 1 human technician for robo-repair, 1 Reticulan in battle-armor and 5 robos armed w/ whatever I've got.

Have your robots move right in close and engage the aliens point-blank while your Reticulan dude fires psy-rockets into the fray - your robots are immune to the rockets while the aliens nearby die like flies. Yours can pick up new psy rockets & healing device from the dead foes. Rinse and repeat.

For platform areas the robos can't access, move them as close as possible anyways (ie. directly underneath), as the aliens will waste many psy-attacks even on nearby robots they can't see. Then move your own alien guy into position and hammer the holed-up aliens w/ 3 consecutive psy rockets, then run in and finish them off w/ pistol.
