A Other way is when you have the Technologie use Medium Armor (Battlearmor or the better Version from the Armor) an Psi Absorb or Neutralizer (I do not know how the name in the English version is exactly).
Good Luck in Hunting Aliens.
Good turret and high level bots helps, but is not necessary.
Just make sure the leader can repair the robots, and is armed with a weak knife in case (s)he is mind controlled.
Robots are immune to the psy attacks and psy control. But are vunerable to rocket troops and lasers.
A well placed sniper can head shot them from outside their range but sadly the enemies don't have to worry about shot angles and can target and aim through walls. Because they can sense your thoughts.
Another stratagy I use is a melee specilist. When trained enough they can run into a fight and take out many foes in a single swing with just the basic katana. Upgrading to the martian's special sword and they can take out even the highest ranked Beastmen in about 2 swings (if they hit with a 59% chance to hit), just don't fight a roller. So imagine how badly egg heads do against such a monster.
Usually you just have to beat about 2 fights with the expedition when they first set up for them to just calm down and just take the empty slot left and talk to you. Once that is done just attack the normal rebels to allow yourself to side with the expedition and you don't need to worry about it anymore. The rebels barely have the parts to make any mind control devices but you will still have to worry about the psy guns.
Just be careful fielding any psy troops you get. They tend to cause all beastmen to rush you the second they catch a scent of them.... which isn't fun.
Once the Expedition shows up ally with them as they are more dangerous, they give you 3 people, and let's face it the Rets killed most of the human race. Now put together a tough robo squad with a single Grey and wipe the Rets off the map. It also will double as a harsh environment squad. Just keep the Grey out of combat other than killing downed aliens for XP.
So I take 1 human technician for robo-repair, 1 Reticulan in battle-armor and 5 robos armed w/ whatever I've got.
Have your robots move right in close and engage the aliens point-blank while your Reticulan dude fires psy-rockets into the fray - your robots are immune to the rockets while the aliens nearby die like flies. Yours can pick up new psy rockets & healing device from the dead foes. Rinse and repeat.
For platform areas the robos can't access, move them as close as possible anyways (ie. directly underneath), as the aliens will waste many psy-attacks even on nearby robots they can't see. Then move your own alien guy into position and hammer the holed-up aliens w/ 3 consecutive psy rockets, then run in and finish them off w/ pistol.
