Online Co-op in future?

Game is good, very entertaining and mentally stimulating. I was sharing screen for a friend who is interested and wants to buy the game but is very hesitant due to the facts there is no online co-op which unfortunately seems to be a running theme with these colony sim/city builder games. Is there any hope for us to see some sort of online co-op down the line?

There won't be online co-op, at least not for this game. It's very important to design multiplayer game mechanics from the very beginning. That's why it's a challenging process like making a new game to convert the game to co-op :(
