Ghost painting puzzle

Is ass. It requires that you recall what the sprites of all the characters looked like in the previous chapter. I breezed past the books rooms in no time but this puzzle is memory recall of something no one gives enough of a ♥♥♥♥ to remember. Had to look it up online. Note to new devs: Frustrating, unsolvable puzzles which for most people will only be solved through luck or looking up the solution is trash game design. Ungoof your ♥♥♥♥.

Currently it seems to be incorrect/bugged puzzle.
It should follow emotions but for some reason Mother (pink big) has 2 dots and Father (big green) has angry face which seems to be inverted. I find this confusing as we don't know father's face at all - since he had/has no character sprite in game

Father is Big pink, Mother is Lime.

Check their eye colours for the reasoning

yeah I was stuck on this puzzle a while too, am I just missing something? Unless the puzzle is meant to be changing the faces of each ghost to correlate to how each of the Graves family act, it just feels totally random.

i had the logic of it correct i just forgot the mother was represented by green and not pink so i had them swapped

I do believe this refers to each family member's mood back when Andrew and Ashley were kids.

Andrew was annoyed and whatever'd all over the place.
Ashley was always upset/sad because nobody liked her.
Their mother was always on edge/angry.
And their father... well, he didn't (and doesn't) really know what to do or say and just accepts things the way they are.

yeah the color is matching thoses of the eyes. the parents have they reversed comparing to handrew and ashley

if that's the case then I guess it really is just "match the correct face to the correlating family member." The mom is controlling and aggressive, the dad has no mouth because he has no authority, Andrew has a blank expression because he's so nonchalant and Ashley is sad because idk she's Ashley lol.
