How to reach Shots and Such ending

Has anyone figured out how to reach the Shots and Such ending? I keep trying and failing.

I've heard that one of the triggers for branching is choosing to shoot Andrew or not during the Decay vision in Chapter 2 (Having bullets leftover from killing Mr Washing Machine / the Hitman in the park is required for that).

I shot Andrew, and then chose Andrew in the Andy/Andrew choice and it led me to Shots and Such. I also chose "First Date" as my excuse to the cops but I don't know if that changes anything.

Well that might explain it. I keep loading a save where I had bullets, but did not choose to shoot Andrew.

That probably confirms the rumour I'd been going with then - I've just reloaded my Chapter 2 save and doing a playthrough where I don't shoot Andrew.

That being said, Shots and Such is sad - Coca Cola did a great job at writing an abusive relationship lol

Oh I forgot something, there's also an optional engagement ring to find that you need to collect for Shots and Such in the forest sliding rock puzzle

Definitely confused about how to avoid the splat ending. I chose to distrust Andrew for the decay route, shot him in the dream, chose the Andrew route. I picked up the engagement ring but didn't see where it was supposed to appear next? How do you get any other ending? I tried two or three times now but always splat.

For me, when Andrew walks to eat breakfast he stubs his toe on the ring, and there was a decision to keep it or drop it.

Maybe there's another dependency, like telling the cop in the petrol station that you're on a first date? I'm unsure

Idk, I'm giving up until a guide comes out. If you boot up a burial run, it tells you that you can "No, trust the trinket" or "Reflect" after Ashley leaves to get the money. He reflects and the only choice that has at all mattered in my 4 attempts has been whether you pick Andy or Andrew in the car. I found the ring, he didn't trip over it in the apartment, unless its after they have horrible sex after Andrew beats her up. I just gave up after that point because it didn't seem like anything was gonna change. I started the whole game over to be sure and it's just the same. Unless it's after they hooked up, in which case whatever!!!!

Edit: I presume it's something more subtle/optional I missed but I'm no longer interested in looking for myself. Just gonna wait til the wiki updates lol. Tried both first date/stomach issues. Saw people referencing dialogue of a phone call to Julia's sister and I never got prompted for that.

Unless there is something about reading Julia's letter and doing something else?? Got approached by Friend B and Andrew just vomited, gave up, and went back to Ashley to get smashed and be awful

Where tf has this guide been? I'd run through Decaying Along probably half a dozen times, because my dumb4rs3 thought it was hilarious to make Andrew SHOOT!!! the hitman rather than to Shoot him, locking me out of both the Splat and Shots endings, no matter what else I changed up.. until I'd finally changed that. XD Ah, well.
