Ghost painting puzzle

Is ass. It requires that you recall what the sprites of all the characters looked like in the previous chapter. I breezed past the books rooms in no time but this puzzle is memory recall of something no one gives enough of a ♥♥♥♥ to remember. Had to look it up online. Note to new devs: Frustrating, unsolvable puzzles which for most people will only be solved through luck or looking up the solution is trash game design. Ungoof your ♥♥♥♥.

chapter 3 puzzle SPOILERS!!

I'm so excited for the next chapter but I can't figure out how the puzzle is solved. I've been trying for the last 10 minutes. Did anyone figure it out?
