Is it weird that playing TCOAAL has helped me truly stop caring what people think? I finished episode 2 and after getting both endings I went for 100%. This game and community have really helped me be able to look past all the negativity and just enjoy supporting the community and game. It just feels weird that THIS game of all the games is what opened my eyes to be able to stop caring about the negativity lol.

In general you should always take breaks from social media. Talk to your close circle of friends, go out, etc and when you do you'll quickly realize "oh wait I'm not crazy, these people are" and you'll feel better.

Social media is toxic and contributing to a lot of the biggest problems we're seeing on the modern internet. The internet, before social media, was no where close to how awful it is now. Social media allowed people with serious mental illness to meet other people with the same mental illness then proceed to circle jerk each other to validate their mental illness until it festers into psychopathic insanity.

Well its good that you've stopped caring so much about what strangers on the internet think about your gaming habits . Tbh, this game isn't even close to being the most controversial release in decades. Games like Hatred and GTA V did a better job at garnering media attention for its shocking content. So if you lose friends over a game, they weren't good friends to begin with, just dead weight.

I'm with you there. It's been more of a gradual thing for me over the past few years, but thinking about it recently I came to pretty much the same conclusion: I'm me, I like what I like, and if you want to judge me for that then that's your problem. Thankfully I was never social media poisoned and don't have any friends that are, but I still feel like coming to this conclusion will ultimately help me live a happier life.

And hell, even if everyone else is against you, this forum will always be here without judgment, just like Ashley will always be there for Andrew

A very good written game and with a very nice artstyle.

I'm rather unapologetic about the fictional weird ♥♥♥♥ I like but I've been going really hard on this one on main and encouraging friends to come to the conclusion you did. It's a great game, the story is really excellent writing, I'm glad it's doing this for people. <3

Never feel bad about the fictional material you consume cause it's fiction, that's what makes it fun. It's only cringe if you clearly only like something for the fan service but keep denying that the story is bad. However the storytelling in this VN is genuinely good so nothing to feel bad about, the wincest is just a bonus
