Andy vs. Andrew
At one point in Episode 2, why did Ashley like Andy yet dislike Andrew?

What are the key differences between Andy and Andrew?

Andy is the younger version of Andrew, which Ashley likes more from what i remember

I think it also has to do with the idea that Ashley likes the childhood fun they use to have and Andrew saying Andy and Leyley are dead is him basically saying screw their childhood and burying it. That rubs her the wrong way

Andy was easier to push around, Andrew has his own ideas and pushes back (a little). Conversely it seems Andrew mostly dislikes Leyley, as compared to Ashley, because that reminds him of his Andy self, which he finds, well, a push-over. Not that he wasn't and isn't obviously utterly besotted with her either way...

I think there's a lot more to it than "he's easy to push around," though there's definitely a lot of truth to that.
Ashley notably also uses that name or calls for Andy when she's stressed out, afraid, highly insecure, or having some sort of trauma response. My favorite example of this is the first time she's summoned by the demon in her sleep in the car and can't wake up - she calls specifically for Andy to help her. When she's uncertain of Andrew's behavior, she tests the waters with calling him Andy, and I think this is because to her, Andy is familiar, and Andy is secure. Andy essentially stood in as her parental figure and raised her. Andy took care of everything, for better or for worse, leaving her with much less to worry about in childhood despite being totally neglected by her parents.

So I don't think it's only a matter of wanting to push him around or a manipulative tactic. She's seeking familiarity and safety. I think it's also deeply rooted in trauma.

this and it speaks to her arrested development that she resents "Andrew" as an adult figure who defies her, and wants to go on "adventures" with "Andy"

Good addition! Can't believe I forgot to touch on this part in my own response, honestly.

yeah ashley is pretty childish in general, a common thing for abused or neglected children. sometimes it's endearing and other times it's more sinister, with her childlike perspective being a little macabre when it comes to the subject of what they do in their adventures. she doesn't want to grow up and wants to remain in that idyllic state of being Andy and Leyley forever.
