You'd need PS:T amount of dialog in order for the narrative to still work if the entire game changed based on the girls you chose.
In Agarest 2, the girls are essentially slowly killed as their lives are needed to keep the vessel sealed away until it is complete.
The same could apply to Agarest 1, but who knows.

The guys who translates the game was kinda off in many places :)
They get less than 10 words of dialog each and then are never heard from again.
I'd say it's just a brief cameo, and the fact that they rejoin your party for free is your reward for all the hard work of getting into the true ending.
I'm sure they're all still very much dead-ish canonically and they just returned to make the "climax" more epic, seeing as it's a JRPG and doesn't have to make sense.
