Chronologically it's Zero> GoW> GoW 2 I believe.

I would play GoW -> Zero -> GoW 2

Chronologically it is Zero -> GoW. Gow 2 is on a parallel universe.

This comes from what I've READ not personal experience. I've heard that Zero kind of acts like you know the basic lore and story from the first game (GoW) so most people reccomend:
GoW-> Zero-> GoW 2

Definitely Record of Agarest War (its Original name, GaW was the secondary name for its EU counterpart, really ) first, always! ^^
