There are so many versions, which one to buy?
Complete, Collector's, Saga, Premium...what the actual? Is there a way to buy all the games and all the DLC, or do I have to buy each game (or the Complete/Saga) and THEN all the DLC individually? I can't help but feel I'll get screwed out of content if I pick the wrong one.

Thanks for any clarification!

If u want all Agarest games then complete set is way to go since it also include Marriage. All DLC isn't needed since 99% of that is either weapons/items/points packs/ or just skipping game and unlocking game/gallery. There are even free DLC included in game which most of it u can and should dissable :) As for paid DLC there are only 2 that u can buy as they include some bonus characters: Agarest Zero DLC pack #6 and Agarest 2 DLC pack #6

Agarest then agarest 2 then agarest zero is the right triology.

as for dlc. only dlc with bonus charakters are needed the rest is just extra fluff

The DLC doesn't add any content, save for DLC pack #6 for Agarest 2, which adds some extra units/characters.

Some of them add costumes, most of which are typical Japanese bath/swimsuit themed.

The vast majority of the DLC are cheats to speed up the game, giving you free items that let you skip a large portion of the game. These games are brutally slow and don't respect your time.

You really don't need them unless you want to skip playing most of the game.

Incorrect, order of release and intended play is 1 > 0 > 2. Zero even has special features for Agarest 1 players who have a "cleared" save slot on file.

To answer your question, OP:

Step 1, wait for sale.
Step 2, buy the bundle.
Step 3, buy all the DLC.
Step 4, plow through all the games (1, 0, 2, M).
