Level won't progress after "Can't stop, won't stop" achievement pops in game

I know this game doesn't seem to be getting attention from its developers these days, but I'll give this a shot anyway.

Installed Intake on a new machine and when the "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" achievement pops (Clear 20 pills in between rounds) the following level will not load. Just sits on the empty screen waiting for the next round to begin. I still have cursor control, music plays, etc.

Wondering if anyone else ran into this issue or if someone may know of a way to fix this. I really love this game and would like to be able to keep playing it :)
