AVGN sucks now

Since Mike has taken over, AVGN is ruined.
Even in the rare event he makes new AVGN videos, there garbage.

Both James and Mike's videos are awesome. Been following them for ages and i'm really happy when anyone releases any video. Sure Mike's jokes can be a little ... yeah. But i still appreciate his devotation to the series and they have quite a feeling to their vids which is quite the unique.

Mike always helped him with the video's if it wasn't for him I don't think AVGN would exist, or at least be widely known

I concur with the point that lately, episodes have been extremely forced. Occasionally there's a gem here and there, but it's nothing like the first 75 or so... then again, nor should one expect it to be. You're going to run out of ideas sooner or later. That said, I feel there's still plenty of potential; it just needs to be tapped into properly, and not forced just for the fans (or whatever the reason is).

...As for Mike, I'll say that he's a fantastic artist, some of the AVGN content couldn't have come to be without him, and he has his own moments occasionally... but he tries way, and I mean WAY too hard to be funny. He's toned it down (used to be even worse), but... it's just uncomfortable to see.

idk why people complain about avgn nowadays. sure the older episodes have a nostalgic value to them but still very entertaining for being completely free for you to watch. Besides, Mike didn't appear a single time as himself on avgn, so why so much hate?

Mike has been ther since day 1 and he's making a movie. It's always been the same. THe only change was from the Angry Nintendo Nerd to the Angry Video Game Nerd.

Making a movie takes a lot of work, especially since he wanted to travel and bring in other characters for it. It's not just the nerd with 1-2 cameos like an AVGN episode that only takes place in his basement. I hope it's finally ready and comes out next summer. You also need to accept that James did not ever plan to stake his entire life on making AVGN episodes. He picked up and carried it for a few years because it was popular and making money. At that time, no one else was doing this sort of thing except maybe Doug for movies as Nostalgia Critic. When you strike gold one day, you'll realize that it's smart to go with it. He would have quit AVGN years ago if he wasn't just servicing fans of it. What he really wants to do is make movies, thus he eventually aimed for making one on AVGN so they too would be happy about it. No one really cares about his horror work or would give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about a full length horror movie he makes, but people loved AVGN, so now you're getting an AVGN movie.

AVGN is different for one reason: James had a kid. Having a child completely changes your life, forces you to take a hard look at yourself and ask, "is this what I want my kid to be shaped by?"

Obviously James didn't want to explain to his kid why he's taking a diarreah dump on a giant rabbits head..... :)

You won't understand until you have a kid yourself, then it'll all make sense.

P.S. I bought the game because James is profiting from it. He deserves my support for all the awesomeness that came before. IMO

You realize that the old guy is Lloyd Kaufman, right? Of course he made a lot of lame jokes, he runs Troma ffs. I doubt the AVGN guys even scripted those jokes
