Checked the game files integrity, even deleted then redownloaded the game but still the same problem.
The problem is even if the game works fine once the rollback is done, we can't get the halloween achievement... And also, isn't it a bit weird to have to wait a week to play a game we paid? (if we take the probability the game will work again once the rollback is done which is not 100% sure now...).
Maybe the problem is "It just rolled back to the same version from last halloween", which might be an older build of the game?
(If the exe has been blocked, the game wouldn't even output an error log anyway, Steam would say it can't find the executable file).
Any way to enable debug log in the game to have more informations about the error? Which doesn't seem to come specifically from my computer as the two other guys upper have the same problem.
And what will happen if the game does not work again once the rollback is done? We'll just be stuck with an unplayable game? Steam won't accept refund for a game played more than two hours and bought more than 15 days ago...
Can someone from the team post the old .exe to let us test if the game is working again and also to let us play the game? (right now, I want to play the game I bought and I just can't, it's a shame...) I don't think someone could use the .exe without owning it on steam (the game is already available on torrent since a while, so there no piracy issue to fear...)
For now, dunno if it's you on Twitter, but I was said "It'll rollback in a few days", nice... Remember me to say those things to customers who buy a car. It broke? Just wait a few days, it might fix itself... And even if it does, which I hope it'll, it won't let me get the halloween achievement...
Thanks!
It's a shame they don't care to try to fix the issue rather than just saying people "wait until the rollback after Halloween", when I even offered to do some debugs tests if someone would sent me a debug version...
I first tested the game cracked months ago to check if it was good and decided to buy it because the game was pretty fine (though I had already finished it on the crack version) but it's pretty sure I won't buy the next ones with such methods, when the developper/publisher can break your game with an update and don't really care about it... (especially now that Steam force the games to be updated before running, which wasn't the case before).
