Exactly. Its a joke, like you say, so the more we have the better, no?
And... what would a quest journal do except giving you a description of each quest and telling you the rewards they give? We already have the map that tells us where each quest is. All you have to do is teleport to the nearest respite or rift machine and collect/beat up/search or do whatever the quest asks you to do. A quest journal would have been nice if the locations of the quests werent shown on the map, but right now, I just dont see the point of a quest journal is what Im saying. You say "I don't like constantly opening up the map and roaming around to find the quests" but youre fine with opening up the menu to open up the quest journal? I dont understand. Youd still have to roam around even with a quest journal, so what exactly is the difference? Also, you mind telling me what the F Is "RPG science"? Its just your way of doing things, theres no "science" in that. Some other people, like me, do every side quest the moment they appear and keep the main quest for later. That way, if something happens in the story and we cant enter a certain map anymore (or for a certain period of time), at least Ill have done my side quests. Thats my way of doing things. Again, theres no "science" in that. XD
Finally, you say that this is a lack of comprehension on my part but the only thing Ive been doing is telling you what I think. Its you guys who are taking my replies the wrong way. I have nothing against having a quest journal in the game. Like I said before, I just dont see the use of having one. Instead of getting angry at my replies, would you mind telling me what youd like to see in that quest journal?
1) Let you remember what quests you have without scouring the map at the level of zoom they can appear at (which is just below 50%)
2) An easier way to remind you what ones you were working on before you had to log off for whatever reason. Especially if you had just grabbed all the ones that just became available because of story progress
3) like someone else said, there are some quests that do not have markers for the objectives themselves and/or the marker does not give the info again, thus making you have to go back to the quest giver for said hints.
Regardless, if I am understanding the new director's letter correctly we are getting a Quest Journal of sorts in the next update anyway so all your crowing about "why do we need one anyway?" is moot.
Except not all quests are marked on the map. I don't understand why some people are against such a simple QoL feature
