From my experience, when theres a "x star guaranteed" (in this case, its 2 star) next to the multi pull button, it usually means that the single pulls do not guarantee a 2 star. You shouldnt have taken any risks and just done 2 multi pulls (or 1 multi then wait a bit longer until you had more gacha currency and then do another).
I get that, but I feel like guaranteeing a higher rarity character or item every 10 pulls, regardless of the pull type, is such a staple feature these days that it feels weird for a gacha releasing in 2025 not to have it.
