Launch Feedback Thread 2/20
Greetings, all!

While I've been on the quiet side since regaining my handy [developer] tag, I assure you I've been BUSY. Lots of helpful feedback:

• SSR rates combined with Enigma scarcity causing frustration/stress
• Exploration and opening chests doesn't feel as rewarding (without the Enigma Entities)
• Wanting a Skip button
• The mouse cursor bug

and more.

While I definitely will be combing through... a TON of threads and reviews, I'd love for people to add on to this thread with helpful, actionable feedback. Note that harsh, vague feedback like "awful garbage" etc. is valid for sharing, but can end up sounding like static. The more specific you can be with concerns, the easier that can translate to reports for the team to review!

*Brevity and bullet points are also appreciated, but I won't fault anyone for wanting to vent. Just know that I have to ultimately translate the feedback (which is ultimately translated a second time), and I would hate to see some important nuggets of feedback get lost in the process!

*I'm going to start a second pinned thread for bugs, too. Please stay tuned.

Please don't add a skip button. Story is one of the soul of Tribe Nine and brings a good experience to the players. The game would become much worse if the player skip through the story.
The Bullet points provided are for sure my biggest issues with the game at this present time. In addition while I am only in Chapter 1 and relatively early on at that I do feel like the difficulty should be a bit higher at the very least.
-The game's fundamentally good, but I disliked the recycling of enemy models in chapter 2, please make an effort to not reuse too many assets or at least add new attacks in subsequent chapters.

-The gameplay loop of exploration and combat is very stale right now.

- I don't care for the gacha but you will lose alot of people if you keep on greeding by not introducing more free currency. Paid currency is definitely not worth getting at the moment either.

- I'm afraid the game will die quickly with all the bad reviews it's getting therefore I am hesitant to pay to be honest, try to fix things as soon as possible with your team.

- The story and characters are quite interesting but I would like to get to know the characters through mini events maybe? Just a suggestion.

- Keep up the good work with the 2.5D world building and keep it fresh and distinguishable.

- The puzzles are way too easy, get rid of them or implement harder brain teasers.

All in all, this game's good, there are a lot of flaws, but I'm sure if you listen to the community and give a little, you will profit heavily. Good luck! (I don't think you should change everything but start with the gacha system, make f2p players feel like they're not wasting their time, they will spend eventually anyway if they see value.)
The season pass should have more pulls. Both for the free and paid pass. I wanted to buy the paid pass but feel like was barely getting any pulls for the money spent compared to other games in their season pass so unfortunately i wont be spending any until this is changed.

Change that notification about available upgrade so it would show only on equipped Tenshion cards please. Or give me option to reset it instead of converting/deleting.

I quite like it so far.
But here I go:

-The game was advertised as being more friendly when it comes to daily commitments and doing away with some habit forming mobile game mechanics.
However, the daily challenges still exist and the battle pass kind of demands these too. The FOMO hasn't really disappeared.
=> It would be great if dailies/BP dailies from multiple days just stacked up over the course of the week. For example, you'd just do your 3 daily challenges on the weekend after not playing the game for four days and still get the Battle Pass points for the 4 days.

There's still an incentive to play every day if you want, but there's no punishment for missing days.

-A counter for the amount of graffiti that exist in a given area would be nice.
I can probably find external sources for this somewhere, but it's a simple quality of life feature that improves things.

-Some of the tooltip descriptions for character skills aren't helpful and are missing important information about how a character actually works.
I've noticed this specifically with the descriptions for Hyakuichitaro Senju, who collects stacks of [something] to do [something else]. You can click on [something] in this description and it brings up a tooltip that says "This will do [something else] when you have x stacks of [something]". But you can't click on [something else] and read what it actually does.
=> Please provide more information on character kits in the places where it is prudent. This is probably an interface issue, but just an additional paragraph at the bottom of the skill descriptions, something that explains keyworded mechanics, would make tooltips that lead to other tooltips unnecessary.
1. Fix the hitstops, there's WAY too many now
2. Bring back the ability to fight multiple enemies if you get the advantage. No clue why this was removed
3. Make chests drop gems
4. Include daily missions with gem rewards

you can not click the skip button you know that right?
For context i am in the middle of the chapter 1. exploration feels unrewarding so it battleing random enemies. i dont mind if gacha rates are bad if there is more than enough resources to gather it in the map. i would remedy both points by 1st adding pull currency to chests and random encounters. when finding chests or killing random enemies them for the first time get premium pull currency. when killing the 2nd time or picking the treasure chest 2nd time get a certain amount of non premium synchro currency or chance for synchro ticket. for example 1st time kill enemy or get chest. 20 prem currency + other regular loot. 2nd time killing enemy or getting chest after respawn. low chance to get 5-20 premium currency + guaranteed chance to getting 5 non premium currency (that can only be used for non time limited synchro pulls) and a very low chance of getting free synchro ticket (non time limted one). 2nd issue i have is fights are usually me just chaining 1 2 3 aftrer a regular q e combo. and its very easy. i think fights should be harder and enemies should be more suspectible to flinching at low enemy tension levels. and immune at higher tension. 3rd. battle pass should be purchasable with the currency gotten from 30 day pass thing.

i am an avid gamer, Unreal Engine game dev, and a gacha lover. as it currently stands the game is not something worth investing money in.
Gacha rates is for 3 stars is quite low

Can we have a toggle button for run/walk instead? it's annoying to press a button all the time just for running

Other than the other feedback that talks about the gacha and currency situation here's a few things that I feel like affected my game play the most.

- The mini map, I feel like it could definitely be improved, firstly I'd remove the black background so that we are actually able to see the path we're taking.

- FPS cap, while this is not a big deal I would love seeing the game making 120 FPS or Unlimited FPS available.

- Skip button, please add a skip button.

Otherwise I'm really enjoying the majority of the game so far. Hoping to see some much needed changes in the upcoming days/months.
Well I been playing for 13 hours and finished the first city (most of it).

The gacha is a glaring issue and it spills into the entire game.

Terrible rates with both character and weapon-like banner alongside it.

Meanwhile there is no beginner banner of sorts. There is a standard banner with "standard tickets" for this banner except those standard tickets are nowhere to be found. An average new gacha nowadays that implements this system gives enough standard pulls to not only finish the beginner banner but also get one SSR-pity from the standard banner.

It's really silly that I got far more pulls from mail than I did after playing the game for 13 hours. And that's before additional 15 from today. Pulls given in mail feel far worse than those earned in game.

But at the end of the day if you don't reroll, Getting SSR character simply feels impossible. And that's just single first SRR character in "best starting period". We can forget about ever getting the "weapon" or any of the future characters.

Then there is the distinction between paid currency and normal currency. This always gives me a terrible impression. I would rather simply have two different currencies even if they could be traded on 1:1 ratio and used for the same things to separate them.

The chests and exploration do feel unrewarding especially for new players who have no idea what "the random items" we get from it even supposed to do. They might as well be empty.

I gotten to the part where I unlocked 3 new shops but other than introducing those shops, One sold items that were worse than what I randomly picked up. The other two used currency that I none of with no clear way of getting either.

The combat is alright. Not the best, not the worst. Though ultimately, the only time I had a lot of fun with it was during shark boss who had cool mechanics. Though even then my first victory was bugged out where the boss randomly died halfway through it's HP without showing it's further phases. Giving me ridiculous 1:17 min clear of it. I redid the boss to properly clear it and it took me 4min+.

The story is interesting but doesn't exactly blow my mind. Though it might just be my taste. There are people that like it a lot. Either way, this shouldn't be the focus of improvements when bigger issues are at play.

The characters are well, they vary. There are those that I liked, those that I don't care about and those that are simply annoying. Sadly for me, MC falls into the last camp ... AKA I really don't like the MC at all.

Anyway. All in all, I would rate the game 7-8/10 but as a gacha it's 3-4/10 at best... and well it is a gacha.

I'm currently just playing it as a game but right now, but I'm 100% certain I will quit once the game ends and it becomes live-service gacha begins.

Enjoying the game so far, but my main concern along with everyone else is the ability to earn currency for gacha pulls.

One of the main ways to earn it seems to be delivery requests, but you need to be following people to even see their requests. And even then, from the tutorial, it seems like you only get 10 of the currency per request filled. That would only be 30 per day if you fulfilled every request you could, which would be 1 pull every 4 days. So you would get 1 10-pull after more than a month.

Now I haven't done any yet so I'm not sure if the reward scales based on giving higher rarity goods, but maybe that's something you'd like to buff up? Along with that, there should be public delivery requests that do not require you to be following people in order to fulfill orders. Maybe the orders from the players you follow/are friends with can give more than public orders. I think maybe you should be able to gain enough to get 1 roll per day if you fulfill all of them.

So the change of stuff I want to be in the game is especially the Steam version:-

- UI button need to be fix, pressing D-pad one by one feel really clunky while navigating menu in the overworld, dev need to change the button prompt, maybe like Hold LT + A/B/X/Y.

- I notice while pressing into the Notice to read update while playing with controller, I can’t for the help of me scroll on any of the Post, I can press D-pad or analog, but I can’t move it to scroll at all on any post.

- This game need a Major update on its Daily and Weekly Mission, they need to put the Roll currency on both, not just the Daily on the upcoming update, Weekly is a must as well, and I feel like they need to Overhaul the Missions in general, need to have a separate mission tab that’s not bind to BattlePast progression. Essentially a BP mission and a separate Mission for Daily and Weekly.

- A lots of UI Optimisations in all the Menu in general, it’s very clunky playing with controller, like in Character screen, it should be LB and RB to switch character, but when enter the page to Equip the monster pet thing, there’s no way to switch between character unless I move the analog target to all the way bottom and select the other character, it’s very frustrating. The Directions on which Buttons do what on controller in Menu need to be Solid, it’s just feel tired to navigate, please fix this as soon as possible.

There’s probably more issue, but the UI and Menu system is the most frustrating thing about this game so far playing with controller.
Saying my piece as someone who doesn't care about gacha elements at all and is just saying this as someone who is interested in the story and gameplay, You need to give the players some way to justify spending money on this as it is an online-only live service title and you will need to keep those servers up. Gacha players are not going to spend money on a gacha with horrible pulls, and players who don't care about the gacha have no real reason to spend money on the game at the moment either. We would hate to see this game be dead in the water less than a month after launch
