Why the game makes me think of ZZZ?

Compared to the play tests, the gameplay feels much more like a "clone" of zzz parrying the flash with space and doing chain attacks with your team. I do like how all three characters are actually on screen though.

The deadly playtest demo thing felt wayyy different, it was slow and clunky and punishing like a souls like game. This game feels like it has an identity crisis.

Quadrillion slow-motions in fight and no ability to cancel slowest secondary attack make me think of killing someone in Minecraft.
