even if you can't parry any other ability, you can charge and launch your atk
it's not a complete miss situation
It is working as intended as Deflect Counterattacks (like what Hina's Charge Attack and Counterattack does) only works on physical attacks. Deflect Counterattacks does not work on beam, energy, or fire attacks as they do not have a physical object to "deflect"
Dodge Counterattacks and Regular Dodges works on most, if not all attacks. Whether the character has one or the other varies on the character.
Yeah it sucks that most of Destroyer's attacks are not Physical which neuters her core mechanic but she is also not the only character in the game that cannot use their Counterattack on it. It is just they are not as reliant on Deflect as she is.
I only skip this phase by adding tension card for ressurect once per battle.
Everything else this enemy throws at you is a "non phyiscal attack" and can only be avoided by either "right click dodge" or a character that can "space bar counter" all attacks like Tsuruko for example.
In case of his tension max flame-laser-spin attack the best way you can do is to simply just dodge the attacks with either right click or spacebar IF the char allows a dodge counter. Trying space bar with a char that can only block/counter physical attacks will fail all the time.
The thing with the right click dodge is that every char can use it and your controlled character will get immunity for a few seconds of the attack you dodged and you can use this moment to give 1-2 hits and then right click the next incomming flame/laser to get the immunity to this attack as well.
Do this for the whole max tension phase and you can avoid all dmg that this thing wants to throw at you.
