So aside from hoping that the update will be a smooth one i more hope really to see QoL changes for Fractal Vice like a more streamlined floor progress (instead of 3 different paths 1 single path with the loot and stuff at the end after killing the "key-enemy".); no respawn of "trash-enemies" (at best only let "key enemies" respawn); a retry option for the floor 5 boss; start directly at an already reached floor (if the 3 paths version should stay).
Phantasm Lux is fun alternative to running rifts with boosters but i've given up on trying to clear the last boss stage as I cant get the beat down after the 1:40 mark...
Fractal Vice is the only area in the game where I can grind/play the game normally. If they remove mobs all that's left is 1 main boss and/or sub bosses on-route that die within 1 rotation with built characters. Thanks to that running any EX tension cards is pointless since even bosses die in 30 seconds. Even running lvl 2 Tension cards is abit iffy since fractal vice boss fights always starts at 1 bar and fight will usually be over before hitting Tension 2 or shortly after. I don't run ultimate nuke builds
Neither got Jio and Mio who seem to be the current top chars for beating bosses quickly. I was more on the "lucky side" to get Enoki so far 5 times (1x from featured banner and 4x from standard banner) and as there is currently no option left to get free standard banner tokens for pulls aside from monthly reset so i could either spend my enigma on featured banners or the standard banner what normally in any gacha game is stupid idea to spend the pull currency on a standard banner.
So in case of tension i always reach all stages but for Fractal Vice i was so far never able to beat the boss as one slipup in dodge or deflect resulted mostly in the boss killing me in just 2-3 hits and so make all my effort go to waste and i simply do not have the patience to go through all floors again just for another try.
In combination with the multiple floor runs 1-1-1-1; 1-1-1-2 until the final run 1-3-3-3-2 it just is a drag as you have completed the 1st 4 floors already several times so there is no "real" point in redoing those floors aside from the drops from the mobs once a floor has been cleared with all stuff collected already (imo)
I get that people struggle with fractal vice still, the fact that you have to beat fractal boss to get material needed for EX ascensions and having to restart from 1st floor rubs people the wrong way.
Think the issue is people feel the need to collect all rewards from fractal vice every week or it "feels like a waste" if they don't. I have never fully collected all of fractal chests as you'll notice some routes carry pitiful amount of rewards (paths having as low as 2-3 chests).
I am not against the shortening of fractal routes or easing access towards materials needed to further improve your characters but to reduce the amount of content and having nothing to add/replace it which is not great. Specifically towards players who are already built/geared.
Have to emphasize the "geared" part as that makes a huge difference in clear speeds for your fractal vice runs. This includes your character stats/passives, Tension card setup/lvl and your party line-up.
I mostly run Enoki(main dps)/Tsuki/Tsuruko(subdps) but don't recommend it due to poor synergy, but It's what I use since I like these characters and want the gifts for further EX ascensions. Enoki/Tsuruko break values are miserable but very high damage running passive 2. Tsuki(passive 1) is there incase I'm able to break bosses to push Tension 2/EX + 10% crit.
