How do people typically utlize Jio?

Since we're in the middle of maintenance, just wanted to ask that's been on my mind for quite sometime. He's a 3 star but doesn't seem to pack as much punch as other roasters(Or Yukata being too good). Does have an debuff that lowers def so, maybe as a debuff tank ?

Yeah. Ai will never be as effective as the character you pilot, so having someone with a useful debuff is very effective as an AI controlled team member to make your main do more damage.

From his kit, Jio seems to benefits from an all atk substats as his venom scale with atk. Coupled with his passive 1 which reduce the def, although does not have high overall damage compare to Enoki or Miu, he provide good amount of dps and help the team provide more damage due to the def debuff he provide.

i go with attack crit rate and damage and go with full passive def down and it make farming shark faster for me, iirc the debuff apply when enemy got venom so even if ai hit 1 time enemy already got def down

I've used Jio a lot since he felt like a better option than Enoki for me.
3 fighting instinct
2 passive 1 skill expansion
he's built for full crit rate / crit dmg with a single atk substat
Since venom spreader can crit it hits for A LOT.

and another good use of him when you build full crit is if you engage an enemy from range you (blue screen battle entry) can instantly use his ulti to take care of a lof of trash.

He's essentially a defense shred bot against bosses. Works fine with all points in first passive or 2 points in fighting instincts and the rest into first passive.
Just started leveling him on shark and its pretty nice because he doesn't even require high level or strong gear to contribute.

His damage is rubbish just build full stamina and let AI Def shred with him.

Ooooo I bet he's awesome if you pair it up with AOE based ultimates character like Miu.
Sadly, only got me Enoki and Tsuruko so far.
After looking a bit more, he also get additional tension eveytime he activates his poison splat if you upgrade past his 3rd passive bonus.
I'll roll a bit when Kazuki drops. Crossing fingers I get him or Miu
