So... what do they do?

Are you talking about the boxes? If so, they give random items (don't know exactly what they give), they automatically open once received

No. I'm talking about the Fractal Vice rewards from the final boss. You give them to characters in 24 City. They have their own slot in your bag. But it doesn't indicate anywhere what giving presents actually do.

It probably increases a character's friendship. Reaching a certain lvl of friendship with a character gives you badges that you can add to your profile.

You use them to rank up the characters after Rank Ex. I dunno how many upgrade you can do, but Rank Ex 1 is there, so probably it goes on and on.

What you're mentioning, the "Amazon" boxes, there's an option that shows you the loot table with drop rates.

Ah I see. So I assume if I try to give a present to a character in 24 City that I haven't collected, it won't work? Also, I noticed that certain presents have extra affinity with certain characters. I wonder what that's about if these presents are used for Ranks.

You can rank up characters for those talent points, those items you get from fractal boss are needed once you reach EX on them (Rank 6). And as mentioned, we don't know how high it goes.

I can confirm presents can be used in 24 City present giving and in Rankups.

I just gave Yo the Teacup present, which he favors, in 24 City. Instead of using it for Rankup. I don't know what it did, but now I no longer have the teacup, and the upgrade menu shows that I still need one.

Soooo... Does anyone know what is gifting function for? Why should we use gifts as normal presents instead of rank up? Tbh at the moment i see it only like a waste of limited weekend item for nothing (or for building more friendship that does nothing too?)

I think gives only medals at certain ranks, but yeah.. you don't really need to use them as gifts. As for being limited weekly resources.. well, you won't be able to use all of them, cause the currency required on top of that, makes it impossible to lvl 3 chars at the same time. You don't get enough currency. Or well you can farm it.. but i dunnoe if it's really worth it to do it for everyone. Like in early/mid game you still need the currency for other stuff, so missing it for 1-2 weeks is not THAT impactfull.
