What Shortstop Character is the best in XB?
i was about to play ranked xb when i found myself having no shortstop character in my roster, which character that is or not a shortstop character is a good shortstopper?

Shortstops need to be good at catching, running, passing, and defending the base. It depends on how many extra outfielders/basemen you have at your disposal, but characters with Extreme Plays (gold border skill on their status screen) related to passing and defending base are good options for Shortstop. As an example, I would use someone like Oi or Todoroki. I prioritize investing rank up points in Survival Instincts, Coordination, and Passive Skill Expansions for both of them, and I also have Tsuruko which means I have one outfielder left over after filling all three positions. So whoever I don't use makes a good substitutes for Shortstop thanks to this, since each of these things help make them better at the things a shortstop would want to have. Tsuruko and Koishi also can work well for the same reason, but personally I like to invest a little in their Fighting Instincts to have them double as good batters and base runners. it just depends on how you build them really.

Yo and Saigo could also be viable here, though normally you'll want to build them with more Fighting Instincts to take better advantage of their Extreme Plays while batting. If for some reason you have all of your other basemen positions covered, Senju can also do a stand up job as a Shortstop.

Shortstop's are low in quantity at the moment,I have everyone but Enoki and Q(so if either of them are I have no idea personally) and the only Shortstop I have is Jio.

There are only two at the moment: Q and Jio. But it would be pretty useless to pull for them for the needs of XB only, since you can just put whoever in any role if you ever need to fill one position. XB ranked isn't balanced at all at the moment, so even without a proper Shortstop you will still win easily your matches if you have properly leveled your characters and their rank.

Don't pull or build characters specifically for XB. It's extremely favored towards the player, and there are no rewards for high ranks except medals.

you've been the best help so far, thank you.
I tried out several characters with several builds, and I came to the conclusion, that either Enoki or Jio fit the best as Shortstop, built with alot Support.

Shortstops are mainly additional fieldcharacters which get their superplays in passing scenarios 90% of the time.
Smt Shortstops do catch the ball and go into the defensive bout at 2. base themselves too, that can happen smt, which means, that Shortstops also could use a little DEF/HP value.

All in all Support points does increase Baserunning speed by ALOT and also improves successful passing scenarios by ALOT.
Especially the baserunning thing is important here, cause Jio and Enoki are both the fastest and best baserunners in the game currently.

So due the fact I didn't pull Jio yet, I use my Enoki as a Shortstop instead and I can tell that it works very fine with her.

I tried Yo earlier, and that didn't work very well, tbh.

Mita is also an ok Shortstop, aslong as you build him full support.

Kind Regards

Hmm, i have Q on that position and i keep hearing people they have the most problems against my Q, when they scrimmed my XB team.

But yeah, something weird is going on with XB - attacker (in that case YOU) always have an advantage in XB, even with lower performance characters, you still can beat higher ones - even 5-0 at times. I did matches with someone else, didn't matter who attacked but in 80% of all cases the matches ended 5-0 (in my case full 50/EX/good patimons 100%), for the attacker. Defending is impossible, even with full 50/EX rank/strong patimons.

Kazuki is supposed to be a Shortstop Char, just a few more days until he becomes available.
