Maybe releasing another gachaslop isn't the right move right now considering the EOS
As title said, Akatsuki Games is releasing another Gacha game that is based off the Kaiju No. 8 series.

Seriously, idk how much money was used on that game but honestly you should've used it on advertising Tribe Nine. God knows how long that other game is gonna even last at this point if it even is gonna release at all.

So I dug into it a bit, they didn't state anything publicly, but I clearly remembered trusting the story of Tribe Nine because Shuhei Yamaguchi, the co-creator of Tribe Nine worked for Akatsuki Games.

I check their website again today, he's no longer a part of the company. I think that's why the game is shutting down. There's literally nobody that knows where the story is going left in the company to even keep it going.

This bums me out. I wonder why he left.

That is odd, everyone was fine with the story at least to me. I guess at the end of the day, what they did to us is basically a quick cash grab and on to the next gachaslop.

I think you misunderstand what I'm saying. The game was probably doing fine. I think Shuhei's departure is what killed it. They did say it was sudden. But as to why he left, we don't know.

Remember, Japan doesn't fire people. He must've left for a reason. And he technically owns rights to it too along with Kodaka.

Ah my bad, I got blinded in my own rage and disappointment so I apologize, but yeah it is really a shame tbh.

I appreciate this insight. It certainly is difficult to say. All we have is a correlation. Yamaguchi leaving could have caused EOS, or the EOS coming could have prompted Yamaguchi to leave.

I'm inclined to believe that the company was planning to shut it down based on the profits and the language they were sharing with shareholders related to the project; as they do have this other project just conveniently lined up to move forward as we're still reeling from this EOS announcement. I think they just figured this would be a good time to shift more resources to that.
EOS is something that is not discussed today and do it tomorrow. It probably has been on their mind for awhile, maybe that's why Yamaguchi left since there's no work anymore
