I had previously changed uset g_trackir "1" to "0" in "Config.cfg" to get something else working and I think this stopped the trail working until I changed it back to 1. Working OK now but lost some trial time :0(

I had the same problem, but I managed to fix it. It was defaulting to using Nvidia Broadcast and it would close before I could set it to my webcam. So I opened Broadcast (I had to update it first) then the Beam demo and it stayed open. I then switched to my webcam, it said it's unavailable, then I closed broadcast and clicked preview in Beam and it's open and working.
