Nothing works in ETS 2 or FS 22
So I have now tried the demo but the result was... nothing. Although I have checked and adjusted everything several times, it is not possible to use the software in Euro Teuck Simulator 2. The webcam is recognized, the game too, but nothing happens ingame. You first have to realize that you need additional software. But even then nothing works. Too bad, but 30 euros for this is too expensive

My doing in Ets2.

1. start Beam Eye Tracker. Camera / exclusive access (Beam Eye Tracker)
2. Turn on Bright light in Room. Turn on Gaming extension [slider]. (Beam Eye Tracker)
Here should your Eyes move allready. if not might be to dark in room.

3. Start Optentrack. (ets2.ini <- create profilename)

ontime 3.x
3.1. Opentrack -> Input -> Eyeware Beam (left side/ start screen opentrack)
3.2. Opentrack -> Mapping -> Yaw -> 90° (from 180)
3.2.1 Opentrack -> Mapping -> other tabs -> set from 180 -> 90 if needed. not sure if necessary , but i did so.
3.3. Opentrack -> Options -> Shortcuts -> Center -> Alt + N (keybind)

4. Opentrack startscreen hit start button. (Here should the Octopus move to your head movment allready.)

5. start ets2.
6. ingame should move press alt+n for center view if necessary.

Thanks for the support BoahEy!

@BadMantiCore: I assume you've gone through the steps in the instructions. If not, please find them here: https://beam.eyeware.tech/tech-support/guide-head-tracking-opentrack-pc-games/
Let me know if you're stuck in any of the steps described there. If the octopus in OpenTrack is moving, then everything is working on the Beam Eye Tracker + OpenTrack side.

Some ETS2 installations have the the TrackIR setting disabled in the config.cfg. Maybe that's the case for you as well. It's typically located in the "Documents" folder.
...C:\Users\...\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2

Open it and verify that this entry says 1:
uset g_trackir "1"

Then save the config.cfg and restart ETS.

If you reach out on Discord we might be able to help you out further, in case this doesn't resolve it.

It took me 2.5 hours of the demo to get this setup to work properly, and this was the comment that fixed it. Simply turning a 0 to a 1.
