We'll try to get our hands on a PS3 eye cam soon, so we can figure out the driver issue as it seems to be quite often used. The Manycam workaround works for now however, but is of course not ideal and one of our users did measure a slightly lower framerate due to Manycam.
As for your issue with Automobilista 2: I understand your frustration. Please note that we don't directly control OpenTrack and Beam is not linked to the problem directly. As long as that octopus moves in OpenTrack then Beam is working fine.
Webcam > Beam > OpenTrack > Automobilista 2
PS3 Eye Cam > Manycam > Beam > OpenTrack > Automobilista 2
However, for the link between Automobilista 2 and OpenTrack some seem to have experienced similar issues, that seem resolvable. Please have a look at this reddit post:

- Windows firewall was blocking the permissions to opentrack
- it only works if I start the game in "Steam VR-Mode"
After downloading the demo, I trying for 1h30 to make it work (PS3 Eye/Automobilista), but don't, so I decide to buy a good webcam (logitech C920) and test again, but the demo is out of date.
OK, I buy Beam and try again... without result and without solution.
OK... Refound Beam. (The first time of my life I refound something)
Today, you suggest I try again with some tips... maybe it work.
I could try on a demo but I don't have the right to redownload it...
I specify that AssettoCorsaCompetizione works.
I don't understand how you can claim that your product works whith Automobilista2 if you don't even know how to do it !?
There are quite a few videos of users with OpenTrack and Automobilista 2 getting it to run (e.g. this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81a-ZQUywoM), so I believe you're a small tweak away from achieving it. Have a look at the video at 3:16. I'm suspecting that "coutnerintuitive" setting to SteamVR or OculusVR in Steam might be the culprit here.
