Thanks, now i can try the demo. What do you think about the ps3eye? It is afaik the recommended one for opentrack, but yours tracks eyes that's why I'm asking. If the ps3eye is good enough, do you plan to implement support for its open drivers?
What kind of camera do you recommend, and which specs are the most influential considering I wear glasses? I would like to give the thing any advantage.
But some tested games do not react:
- Automobilista 2
- Kart Kraft
- House of the Dying Sun
These worked immediately:
- Assetto Corsa
- STAR WARS™: Squadrons
I didn't test any others because the demo is limited in time, and I'd like to be able to try again with Automobilista 2, to make sure it works before buying the software.
Are there any tips or tricks?
Here a Reddit post with some users claiming to have found a solution to fix the issue with Automobilista 2 and OpenTrack:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AUTOMOBILISTA/comments/xpqdvc/head_tracking_on_ams2/
- Windows firewall was blocking the permissions to opentrack
- it only works if I start the game in "Steam VR-Mode"
My PS 3 Eye, was not recon and uninstalled the demo.
After I found this post give it a 2nd chance. Worked right away.
So Already got the Steam version. Still need to adjust the settings and maps to my liking, I prefer a small "dead zone" in the middle.
Not Ideal to run 4 programs to make it work, Steam+Beam+Manycam+Opentrack, else it seems like a solid app.
