Agent, how to shoot multiple wires at once?

I have spider upgrade 3/4, says I should be able to shoot out multiple wires. But every time I use it, as a dodge counter or just holding circle, only one wire pops out. What am I not doing right?

Ed - oh I'm just dumb. Gotta hold circle by itself, no r1, no dodge, just circle.
