They have a hundred games to pick from. Why do they never tap that library for real? It's not like tossing in a few dozen emulated games would be some kind of tall order.
Golden age classics like Head-On, Astro Blaster, Frogger, Pengo, Zaxxon, Congo Bongo, Commando, Bank Panic... SEGA has never once tapped their 8-bit origins.
Missing hits from the 16-bit era like Wonder Boy, Alien Syndrome, Quartet, Altered Beast, Hot Rod, Golden Axe, AFTER BURNER II...
The insane catalog of 3D SEGA games that haven't been tapped...
And I'm just listing off titles that were at least decent hits. There's 10x more SEGA arcade games that were comparatively obscure. I'd slot Motor Raid into that category... and we've seen RGG recycle Motor Raid three times already.
In Infinite Wealth, I want to walk into an arcade and see two dozen 8- and 16-bit SEGA arcade games lining the walls. Why the heck not? Does SEGA need to pay royalties? Is emulation hard?
(And since it's a pet peeve of mine... I want RGG to ensure that there are little challenges attached to each and every one of them. Unlike in Y7.)
But Altered Beast is just bad so no.
alien syndrome and quartet are unlockable in-game to play on the sega master system, located in the daidoji hideout.
