Why no cutscene for TONIGHT karaoke?

Just played through the song about Nishiki and for some reason there is no movie for it during the song showing Kiryu and Nishiki together. It was present in K1, K2 and 6, why not in Gaiden?
It is a really touching song about to sworn brothers and if it is present in the game - then Kiryu still remembers his fallen friend, but it really sucks that the cutscene doesn't appear for some reason.

Were you not doing so hot on your button presses when you tried? It can not trigger if you aren't doing well on that particular try.

Really? Well I got like 90-ish and it didn't trigger. Replayed it again, got 98 and got the cutscene this time.
So idk, I guess I just got bugged

Does it? In 0 the first time it had you do the karaoke for judgement I didn't get the cutscene and I was doing terribly, I was very surprised when I tried it again later and got it. I always thought the two were related ever since.

are you sure? you usually have to do good before it would trigger for any karaoke song

I was doing a 100% for Yakuza 6 and I was really bad with "Fly like a Butterfly", got 70-80 usually but still got the movie during the song, so idk, maybe in Gaiden it is different, or I missed something in other games.
