DRM-free GOG Director's Cut releases April 15, 2025!
Thank you for finally releasing this game on GOG! It's so good to finally be able to buy this game now that it will be Denuvo-free.

Will the Steam version also have Denuvo removed for all your existing and future customers?

That's sad news if it truly don't have Denuvo, I feel like I got ripped off and now people will get it for free. I am definitely never buying anything from them again if true and I wish I can get a refund. Seems we just fund the games and others get them for free. Negative review dropped + boycott.

The future should be all Denuvo.

Edit: Here for those who don't believe me, guess what I found searching "nikoderiko gog" in google?!:
I am not gonna link it but, "Nikoderiko: The Magical World receiving GOG release soon, will most likely drop Denuvo on the Steam version" on some vile disgusting piracy Subreddit.

Look at the comments, sounds familiar? "All time peak of 54 players on Steamdb xD".. Hmmm, where did I read that before, oh wait:

Wow, what a huge surprise! I hate being right all the time, sometimes.

Yeah I am not buying such games ever again.. :cupdevil:
What a stupid take. It's not about getting it 'for free'. It means we don't need an internet connection to launch the game and can play it WHEREVER we want.
Users with portable devices like laptops or a Steam Deck can now launch this game without ever having to find somewhere that has WiFi or a 4G/5G mobile signal.
If Steam has an outage (which it does sometimes), you can STILL play the game!

Stop assuming that anti-Denuvo users are 'pirates'!

Where did you get that misinformation?

Not all Denuvo titles requires an active internet connection, most vile example i saw was Mad Max which would require connecting to internet once in a month, nothing more.

They already update the game removing denuvo!! 😁

Well, this is a turn of events: our level 0 Denuvo defender is now boycotting the game and demanding a refund because they removed Denuvo! And just when I thought this whole drama surrounding Denuvo was coming to an end with its removal. You can't make this up.

This user had that issue, which is in line with how most Denuvo games operate: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2374190/discussions/0/604141771964819947/

Level zero means private account, if you are were a little smart you would have known that. But ad hominem I guess is your resort when exposed- still no game owned. :cuphead:

Also imagine obsessively monitoring profiles instead of discussing. 😂
Didn't monitor your profile, others called you level 0 so I checked for myself.

Hello there!
After hundreds of posts complaining about Denuvo, we finally removed it and made Nikoderiko DRM-free.
No matter the choice we will have happy and angry players. Our current choice did follow the voice of the community. This means some players will still be unhappy for good or bad reasons.

Since the topic went from questionable arguments to personal attacks, we will simply lock this topic ;)
