Overlays will just not show up.

So I have tried just about every different combo of setting in overlays to get the FPS to show up and it just will not.If i use left alt (the default hotkey to start an overlay) my screen gets a white haze like filter over the entire screen but still no FPS. I am running win8 64 with latest all drivers.
Other than that I like the record quality etc.Would really like to get overlay to work, at least timer and FPS.

? Would it be supported for recording but not overlay, dont really think that would work that way. As I said I have no video or audio issues just no overlays.

Im pretty Sure recording and Overlay are TOTALLY Diferent functions. Im not firmiliar with the program, however, Recording GENERALLY works on the pricipal, This program is using X... therefore it can be recorded, X being Say ActiveX or DirectX, Java, something like that, Overlays on the otherhand, generally need to be hardcoded into a program, requiring SOME level of compatabilty.

hi species.7, excuse my wiseass question, but on what games exactly the overlay is not working? or is it all games? do you have games that it is working?

i had once this kind of a problem when my games we're installed on a totally different hard drive, and the software on another harddrive...
other then that i can only guess what the problem could be...

do you have any log files what playclaw makes?
it is playclaw.txt and is located somewhere in the playclaws folder i think.

I have actually had the issue on Farming simulator 2013, Borderlands 2 and Salvation Prophesy. The Playclaw software and the games (all steam titles) are on the same drive all though i do of course record to a seperate drive.I have also tried a couple of modded versions of minecraft (FTB ,Tekkit) with the same result,good recording but no FPS overlay.
Thanks very much for having a look at my issue bud.If you think it could shed some light I will look into the log files.

yeah just check the logs to see if there could be any useful information :), i got just one game the overlay didnt show up and that was R.A.W Realms of Ancient War. but it was on since i could capture video still even the overlay was not showing.

post the log file to pastebin and post also the link from pastebin to this thread, well see whats going on in there.
