Key rebinds?

I really want to get into the game, but being unable to remap keys is sort of a dealbreaker for me.
I use a Colemak keyboard layout, and my kb has no arrow keys, so moving around requires me to either do really unintuitive stuff, or change my kb layout... but if I do that, I cannot actually type in dialogues, because I can't really QWERTY...
Key remapping would be amazing, as I would just remap directions to FRST...

Probably a key remapping software can help, there are a lot of key remapping software on the net just google them, i think i used autohotkey for Starbound a long, long time ago, it was simple and fine and as far i remember it was easy to turn on and off.

Also Windows 10/11 has a Mouse and Keyboard Center software which do this too, but as far i know that makes the changes permanent, you can change the settings any time but needs a reboot every time, which is not ...optimal.

Seconding this. I'm also a Colemak user and the inability to rebind keys while also having to type as a mechanic are preventing me from giving this game a fair shake. I know it's a pretty niche thing, but this is a pretty significant barrier to overcome.

in the end, I am playing moonring on Steam Deck, of all things. I mapped WASD and other important stuff to buttons and a radial menu tied to the left trackpad, and use the onscreen keyboard for typing.
I would much prefer having the option to remap WASD move to FSRT tho, and play from my pc
