I'm stuck, please help
I'm kinda stuck right now and not sure where to go next. I've got some decent gear (all leather armor, horned helm, short sword, round shield, stone amulet, short bow, waxed cloak), but a lot of the places I try to explore, I can't get anything to show up/happen/uncover the treasure/etc. I've visited 4/5 major towns and have talked to everyone and picked up everything I possibly can (lockpicks have been scarce so I can't always get into places). I haven't devoted myself because I can't decide which would be best for my first playthrough. I just don't know what to do next or where to go.

I'd suggest to go for the Steadfast Hand questline first. Did you find out everything to continue in that direction yet or do you have specific questions?

Probably? I have so many notes... I do remember someone saying something about it, but I can't remember where to start looking for it.

If you're going into a dungeon and actually can't interact with anything (ie there's no enemies, you hit "enter" over the stairs and it doesn't do anything, etc) that was an issue the other day with dungeon generation. It should be fixed by the latest patch (I haven't seen it since then, at least) but when it was happening I was able to force the dungeon to reset by dying (finding a spike trap or setting myself on fire). If you just mean you get a message saying you can't enter the location, or you need a "great key", that just means you need to find things elsewhere. Some dungeons are just open for plunder, and usually have a random amulet but sometimes they have key items as well. Other dungeons, especially the ones with major relics, require a special key or quest to enter.

You can find a lot of clues to various relic dungeons just by talking to everyone in each major town and trying specific keywords. Sometimes one person will tell you to ask another specific person about something, in which case the keyword won't be auto-suggested you just have to type it manually. For example, in The Red Grove, the leader, the Handmaiden, won't speak to you until you tell her the litany of their belief. One of the villagers tells you the litany is "Blood is all", and tells you to say that to the Handmaiden, so if you go tell her that, it opens up other avenues to ask her about..

There's one item that I found really opened up exploration, and I don't know if it was signaled particularly well, I just randomly found it by exploring dungeons. So if you want a huge hint on how to open up the map and probably access a lot of things you've been hinted toward but can't find, it was the counterfeit ship title, I found it at the Click-Clack Hideout(?) at the south of the continent, near Harrowdus, and I was also a bit confused how to use it once I got it, to do that, just go to Moon-Upon-Thoss, and on the overworld (not while in the city itself), move to the left, onto the ship waiting there. You'll get a pop-up explaining how to control the ship.

Hope all that helps!

Oh right, one last thing I found while playing - you can reliably get lockpicks from the ironmonger in Harrowdus. That's the only place I've found to buy them, so I pick up more whenever I'm there.

So I've been trying to find this, but I don't yet have anything to prevent the rot you get walking around that area and I can't seem to locate it. Also, there is a "castle ruin" near the town that has a pile of bones, like the one near Moon-upon-thoss, but unlike the one there, there is no enemy to fight...

Each of those ruins has a wall tile that looks different, if you bump into it you'll get a clue on how to summon the warrior there

personally i got rich off getting rosettas from dungeons - particularily the relic ones. You can also make decent money off selling alchemy stuff if you engage to the lords of dust (which lets you repair your lifestones indefinetly, negating your need for healing potions)

Dont forget to also sell your fur and chitin scraps whenevr you can

I haven't even found a relic dungeon yet. Just the cave ones. I'm kinda scared to do one yet anyway as I don't feel like I'd survive lol.

Stock up on healing potions, hire a Sellsword and/or have Minor Constructs to deploy, take at least one of the summon abilities for 5 cost to have another ally/distraction, and have a solid range option AND a solid melee option.

Also look to get a skill that allows you to move away from where you are to disengage.

All of those help.

Oh... and if you see something about hearing a deathly song... be VERY careful, because the on the enemies has an aura that can kill you VERY easily by reducing your health.
